WFSDallas reconnects young adults to careers and training in high growth industries! As the local workforce board, our system has connectivity to WIOA services, childcare assistance, SNAP, TANF, Rehabilitation service, and adult education!
Blended and co-enrolled services allow access to “no education and training” including:
- Basic skills/ESL/High School Diploma
- Vocational skills training
- Earn and Learn strategies including online training

Participating Programs.
WFSDallas serves Opportunity Youth, ages 16 to 24, by offering employment opportunities while assisting with job retention. WFSDallas adds value through our close connection to workforce programs within the workforce system. Available services within the youth program include:

One-on-One Job Search Assistance
Participants are offered job search assistance to obtain their first job or move into a better job.

Work Experience
Participants have access to participate in a Work Experience (WEX) for up to 20 weeks.

Obtain H.S. Equivalency
Dedicated high school equivalency instructors will help youth successfully prepare for the high school equivalency exam!

Training Scholarships/Skills Training
Youth have access to training and alternative education preparing them for high demand jobs.

Short Term Job Readiness Training
Short term training such as financial literacy, job readiness is available.

Career Exploration
Participants have information to explore available careers with the latest labor market information!
